Please note these sutures expired on 11/2020. As they’re not for human use, this doesn’t change their usefulness for all things practise!

These sutures are veterinary grade sutures (not for humans!) and perfect for practising your suturing skills. Whether you are a student just starting out, or a practitioner who uses these skills infrequently these sutures are perfect for you.

Our absorbable sutures are high-grade polyglycolic acid (violet thread), and the non-absorbable sutures are polypropylene monofilament (blue thread). The feel of absorbable sutures is very different to a non-absorbable filament, hence practise with polyglycolic acid is highly recommended.

All our sutures are 3/8 circle, reverse cutting needles, with 75cm thread.

The larger sutures (2-0 and 3-0) are 30mm needles, the smaller 4-0 sutures are 25mm needles, and fine 5-0 needles are 20mm.
