Scrubs Shop Covid-19 update

With the growing impact of COVID-19 being felt across Australia and the world, we are thinking of everyone and hope that you are keeping well during these difficult times.

You may have noticed that we delisted all of our scrubs in the last 24 hours. This was to allow us to address the supply chain issues that we’re now experiencing. Ultimately, this has led us to the regrettable decision to increase our prices, and we wanted to explain why we’ve had to do this. This wasn’t a decision we made lightly, particularly when the world is experiencing unprecedented challenges, and demand for medical scrubs is high.

Our primary supplier of our classic medical scrubs is from a country that is now in total lockdown for the foreseeable future. Our supplier of our premium medical scrubs has thankfully resumed operations, but this is a staggered start and there remains a delay in manufacturing. We’re trying to reduce shipping times, but this comes at a cost. Similarly, our dealings are in USD, and given the plummeting of the exchange rate, this has significantly increased our cost base.

What this means is that, although we have absorbed the bulk of the additional cost, there will be a modest price increase.

There may also be some issues with low stock in the size / colour that you’re after over the next couple of weeks, in which case, we will be in touch to rectify any issues.

We are also temporarily pausing our embroidery services to ensure appropriate social distancing from our embroiderers who are within the ‘at risk’ demographic.

With two of our team working as medical doctors (in General Practice and Anaesthesia), we understand the importance of having access to protective clothing and reducing risk to you and your families. We also know that the situation is constantly evolving but we’ll get through this together.

Stay safe.
